Academic Excellence
By inspiring students to develop a lifelong love of learning, Catholic schools help children attain high academic standards. Since 2003, more than 40 Catholic schools in the Mid-Atlantic region have been recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools; others have received recognition for outstanding college preparatory curriculums, honors, and advanced Placement programs, or innovative programs in science, languages, the arts, music, technology, and more. The graduation rate at Catholic high schools is 99%—the highest in the nation!
Faith Formation and Moral Development
Your child will be encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith through religious education, prayer, and participation in the Mass. A cross-curricular emphasis on Christian values encourages students to become responsible, moral citizens.
Service to Others Catholic school students are encouraged to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and live a life of service to one another. Community service projects are ongoing at most schools and, in many cases, a requisite part of the curriculum.
Compassionate Community Parents, teachers, clergy, and church members all contribute to Catholic schools’ vibrant sense of community. In welcoming students from many faiths and racial and ethnic backgrounds, Catholic schools believe that a diversity of cultures, experiences, and ideas enriches the learning environment.
Tuition Assistance Tuition assistance and/or payment plans are offered at most Catholic schools. More than 90% of our schools provide some form of tuition assistance. |
