Roles of Catholic Education

Our common mission in all aspects of Catholic education is to teach as Jesus taught and to imitate Him in all we say and do in our parishes, schools, neighborhoods, and throughout our world.

Reimbursement Grants for Certification Coursework

Do your winter or sping plans include professional development coursework? If so, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement of up to $500 for courses that will lead to certification. This reimbursement is available to any Maryland teacher or school administrator, but there are a limited number of grants available.

To be eligible for reimbursement, your courses must be:

  • Offered by an accredited institution;
  • In the field of education or applicable to certification requirements;
  • Finished by August 15, 2012 (to allow for grades to be posted) with a grade of B or better; and
  • Paid for by the student (not by Pell grant or student loan).

For winter and spring scholarships, priority will be given to teachers who have not yet received a grant, on a first-come, first-served, basis. Applications must be received by December 20, 2011.

If you are interested, please complete the attached form and return it to Julia Rogers at 410-547-5566 (fax). If you have any questions about the reimbursement grants or course eligibility, please contact Julia at (410) 547-5586.
