Our common mission in all aspects of Catholic education is to teach as Jesus taught and to imitate Him in all we say and do in our parishes, schools, neighborhoods, and throughout our world. | Catholic Schools Week: January 31 – February 6, 2010
About Catholic Schools WeekThis year, the theme of Catholic Schools Week is “Catholic Schools—Dividends for Life,” which highlights the importance of investing in our children’s education and the incomparable benefits provided by Catholic schools. “In these challenging times, the theme also reminds parents that the dividends of a Catholic school education—students prepared in faith, knowledge, morals and discipline—last a lifetime,” said Karen Ristau, president of the National Catholic Educational Association. “There is no better way to invest in a child’s future—or the future of our world.” Catholic Schools Week is a joint project of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), the world's largest private, professional education association, and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, the national public policy organization of U.S. Bishops. | | | | | | Special Petitions for Catholic Schools Week
