Support Legislation
Make a Donation

Our common mission in all aspects of Catholic education is to teach as Jesus taught and to imitate Him in all we say and do in our parishes, schools, neighborhoods, and throughout our world.

Support Legislation

We ask your help now in ensuring that our children and teachers are treated equitably and receive every benefit to which they are entitled. This opportunity to advocate for our children and teachers extends to every member of the Catholic community. In the Mid-Atlantic region, we encourage you to utilize the resources of your state Catholic Conference.

Read this statement from the USCCB regarding the reauthorization of ESEA.

The Consortium supports the following legislative initiatives, which have the potential to strengthen our Catholic schools and support the families of Catholic school students.

BOAST Maryland

Donations will fund scholarships for students to attend nonpublic schools; extracurricular enrichment programs for public school students; and scholarships for both public and nonpublic school teachers.

Virginia Education
Tax Credit

The Virginia education tax credit legislation (HB 599 and SB 133) would establish income tax credits for contributions to either public-school foundations or scholarship foundations that assist low-income youth. These bills would benefit both public- and nonpublic-school communities and, at the same time, would ensure that nonpublic schools are affordable for more children whose parents need financial assistance – providing significant assistance to parents and school communities at a minimal cost to the state.
